Want to climb Mulhacén (3,479 m), the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula, with the safety of a professional guide? At Sendalpina we run guided ascents of Mulhacén all year round, in small groups and with certified mountain guides born in Capileira, at the foot of the mountain. More than 10 years reaching the highest summit in mainland Spain back us up.
Choose the format that best fits your time and fitness. Both options include a certified guide, insurance and technical equipment:
We don’t just get you safely to the summit: along the way our guides reveal the flora, fauna, geology and history of Sierra Nevada. From the top you’ll enjoy 360° views over Veleta, Alcazaba and the whole range, reaching the Mediterranean and the African coast on clear days. As a local company born in Capileira, we know the mountain’s conditions day by day and tailor every outing to your experience.
📱 Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll advise you on the best date and route for your level, with no obligation.
Prefer to organise it yourself? Check our complete guide to climbing Mulhacén with all the routes, refuges, gear and best season.
The price depends on the format (1 or 2 days), the route, the season and the group size. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and number of people and we’ll send you a tailored quote with no obligation.
In summer, on the classic route, good fitness and some habit of mountain walking are enough. For winter ascents we cover crampon and ice-axe technique, so you don’t need prior experience: the guide trains you before and during the activity.
Yes. In summer it’s perfectly possible to reach the summit in a single day from the Alpujarra if you’re fit. If you prefer a gentler pace or you’re going in winter, we recommend the 2-day format with an overnight in a refuge.
Layered mountain clothing, boots, a backpack, water and food. Winter technical gear (crampons, ice axe and helmet) is included by us. When you book we send you a detailed kit list for your date.
Safety always comes first. If severe weather is forecast, we let you know in advance and reschedule at no cost. Our local guides follow the mountain conditions daily.
Yes, especially in high season and for the 2-day outings, since the Poqueira Refuge requires prior booking and we work in small groups. Contact us as early as possible to secure your place.
