Sierra Nevada is a mountain range located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, in Andalusia, Spain. Covering an area of over 86,000 hectares, it is the highest mountain massif in the Iberian Peninsula, with peaks exceeding 3,000 meters in altitude, such as Pico Mulhacén, the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula.

This mountain range is a true natural paradise, boasting unique biodiversity in Europe and a wide variety of ecosystems and microclimates.

In Sierra Nevada, you can find everything from forests of holm oaks, gall oaks, and cork oaks to alpine meadows and glacial lakes.

Furthermore, the area’s fauna is very diverse and includes species such as the Iberian lynx, the golden eagle, the Spanish ibex, and the common trout. Sierra Nevada also has a rich history and culture, with evidence of human presence dating back to the Bronze Age, as well as the Roman and Muslim periods.

The presence of ancient civilizations left a significant mark on the architecture and culture of the area, with numerous historic towns and monuments.

  • Summit the three most iconic peaks of Sierra Nevada
  • Breathtaking panoramic views throughout the entire route

Day 2

The next day, we will climb Mulhacén via its western face. From there, we will descend to the stunning Siete Lagunas area and continue with the ascent to Alcazaba. Completing a circular route, we will descend to Trevélez, where a transfer or bus will take us back to the starting point.
